Overall I like it, however it looks like the woman's foot is in the fire and it's a bit distracting since I can't not see it now.

I really like the direction of the trees and how they curve into each other at the peaks and the shadows of the logs in the fire are a really nice touch I would never have thought of, but that being said maybe some faint shadows of the characters in the background? It seems like the lighting is supposed to be soft but since the trunks in the background are lit about halfway up shadows behind the people would make since.

I also really like the texture of the tree trunks and how it sort of blends in with the shadows. the bottom of the branches seem odd though. I might be wrong but it looks like its supposed to be lit from the fire which is a nice touch, but it doesn't really fit with the flatter coloring of the rest of the tree.

I really like how strong the colors in this are as well as the overabundance of details.

thanks so much!!

The clouds and the shading give it a tunnel look that I really like. It's almost surreal how looking at the clouds makes it seem like I'm looking straight up while looking at the water makes me feel as though I'm looking forwards.

The ship looks twisted when I compare the front and back of it, but I really like the style. It reminds me of an old science fiction paperback cover or a old board game box that's been sitting up on the closet shelf.

Pretty nostalgic for me even though I don't know anything about the source material.

The peacock wings and galaxy looking hair are really nice touches. The only thing I don't care for is the bright white background behind their pale skin.

It reminds me a bit of illustrations in some books, specifically children's books. Considering your own description of the piece I feel like the nostalgia it gives me is well placed.

griguette responds:

Thanks! :) Glad it made you feel that way!

You seem to have a far steadier hand than I do. Looks great!

JoashB responds:

Thank you! Doodling a lot (even if it's crap) helps I guess :p
I used a scale for the string though if that's what you were referring to...Thanks though ^_^

I love the size of his backpack. It works well with the otherwise empty landscape.

SuperColoroid responds:

Thanks!

This pretty awesome. The orange really adds a lot to it.

Thanks!

Reminds of an old renaissance hellscape, like it could be part of a mural.

Got pissed on by a sheep once.
